About

To know and preach nothing but Christ

When John the Baptist was asked who he was, he said, “I am the voice of one calling in the desert” (John 1:23).  John knew Jesus by the Holy Spirit (John 1:32, 33).  He existed to announce the One He knew by the Spirit, that Jesus might be revealed to the people of God (John 1:31).  John saw himself as nothing but the voice of another.  He claimed no ministry, no purpose, no identity of his own.  He was the voice of Christ, declaring Christ.

It is in the spirit of John the Baptist that I write this blog.  I seek to know Jesus by the Holy Spirit; to announce the One the Spirit makes known; to be nothing but the voice of Another, preaching Another.  “For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ” (2 Cor. 4:5).  It is my prayer that those who read will know Jesus, not by my words, but by the Spirit who remains on Him (John 1:32).

Hello. I would like to use one of the images in your website on the cover of a small monthly magazine that my uncle publishes in India. The magazine is called ‘Rapture’. Do you mind if I use this image as the cover? It is my understanding that the image is most likely copyrighted. The image I mean is the one of the Holy Spirit coming down as a dove with rain and fire. Please let me know.

I’m using it by permission from Patrick Murphy at inspiredsketch.blogspot.com. You can ask him, & I’m sure he’d be open to that 🙂
