I follow a couple blogs that do a lot of outreach to atheists.  They are Hardwired and See There’s this Thing Called Biology…  Both of these sites feature engaging authors who are incisive and quick-witted.  I laugh as much as I think when reading their posts.

These blogs never disappoint when it comes to generating discussion, often with die-hard atheists.  Some posts have a dizzying trail of comments following them, and the comments aren’t always pleasant.  In a very real way, these blogs are on the front lines of an ideological clash, and I don’t doubt the authors need support.

I would like to ask you to join me in praying for the authors of these and other blogs who minister to atheists.  It isn’t an easy calling, and I applaud it in Christ.  I would also encourage you to check out the blogs mentioned above if anything I’ve said about them piques your interest.

Atheists aren’t the enemy.  We know our battle isn’t with flesh and blood but the devil who deceives, often by appearing as something reasonable or good (Eph. 6:12; 2 Cor. 11:14-15).  Jesus welcomes those that reject Him and forgives those that attack Him in ignorance (Luke 23:34).  To this we are also called (1 Peter 2:23).
