The following are lyrics to a song the Lord gave me a few years ago. (Listen to the song here). The words are based on Song of Songs 4:8-5:1. At the time of their writing, Solomon was poetically praising his lover. In the Spirit, we can hear Jesus singing a love song to His bride, the church. It is one thing to think that God loves us. It is quite another to think that God is *in love* with us. I pray that the Spirit will minister this to your heart as you listen!

Come with me, my bride, from the mountains above,
from the summit of Hermon where the lions roam.
You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride.
You have stolen my heart with one glance from your eyes.
You are a garden, my sister, my bride,
an orchard with choice fruit and spice.
I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride.
I have gathered my myrrh, my fruit, and my wine.
You are a mountain spring, my bride,
a fountain flowing with life.
Flowing down from Lebanon, from heavenly heights.
(You are a mountain spring, my bride, a fountain flowing with life).
You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride.
(A mountain spring, my sister, my bride).
You have stolen my heart with one glance from your eyes.
(A fountain flowing with life).
I think it is appropriate that mountain spring imagery be in our love ballad from the Lord. After all, He does leap upon the mountains and He does led us to the still waters of life.
And whoever believes in Him, rivers of living water flow from his innermost being…
