Emee O’Reilly is a dear friend and leads worship at our church. Over the years, the Lord has given her many songs. Emee’s music has a way of bypassing all my defenses. There is a quality about it that leaves me completely vulnerable before the Lord. Today’s post features a song from her album, The Alabaster Jar. The title of the song is, “The More I Come to Know You.” I hope it will minister to you as much as it has me.

The more I come to know You,
the more I realize
the beauty of Your cross,
the depth of Your new life,
the depth of Your new life.
The more I come to know You,
the more I realize
that all I’m really wanting
is to know the revealed Christ,
to know the revealed Christ.
For I was meant to be
filled with majesty,
nothing of my own,
just You and You alone.
Yes I was meant to be
a temple for the King,
whose living waters flow
through fragile human souls.
