So, apparently podcasts are a thing 😆 And not a thing I’ve ever paid attention to. But this is kinda how I roll. I’ve never been “cutting edge.” When I started blogging 14 or 15 years ago, it was mostly by accident. I created an account and blog on Blogger (thewordwasgod.blogspot.com) so I could read a friend’s blog. I did quickly see the value, however, and it has been a good way for me to share what the Lord teaches me.

Recently, a regular reader of The Voice of One asked if I ever considered offering some of my blog posts as podcasts. No, I hadn’t. Again, I’m aware podcasts are a thing, and I’ve listened to one or two, but that’s about it. Still, I let the reader know I would consider it.

So I considered, and talked to my wife (who is much more cutting edge than me), and then I prayed. Between my wife’s persuasion and the Lord’s witness, I decided I would give this whole podcasting thing a try. And, since WordPress has been advertising their partnership with Anchor (Spotify’s podcasting platform), I figured I’d give that a try.

One benefit of podcasts (as my wife pointed out) is that it’s another format to present content in. Myself, I prefer reading. But for some people, podcasts are a better format than reading. I see the value in that.

So without further ado, you can find The Voice of One podcast here: https://anchor.fm/teague-mckamey. At this point, I’m not doing anything fancy. I’ll basically do a recorded version of my blog posts. But again, it gives people another option for interacting with The Voice of One.

For starters, I recorded an introductory podcast, and podcast versions of a couple recent blog posts. These days, there are so many things competing for our time, and most people I know already do more than they’d like. My intent on The Voice of One podcast is like my blog in that way: to share Christ in bite-sized portions that can be read or listened to in 5 to 10 minutes.
